Loan Funds

Visions North Community Futures Development Corporation (Visions North CFDC) currently has four funds from which it provides financial assistance. The Investment and Repayable funds provide the funds for most client needs. The other two funds are targeted to specific needs. These funds are the Forestry fund and the Challenged fund. The Forestry fund provides financial assistance to businesses engaged in the forestry industry and the Challenged fund provides financial assistance to entrepreneurs with disabilities.

The process begins with an application form, application fee of $20.00 and complete detailed business plan. Business plan guides and application forms are available on request from the Visions North CFDC office at 711 La Ronge Avenue, La Ronge, SK. Each plan is evaluated for management capacity, equity contribution, credit history of the applicant(s), strength of the marketing strategy, financial viability and the ability to service the debt. Community support and job creation area also important considerations. Start your planning early as it can take several months to properly complete a business plan. Recommended loans are considered for financing by the Board of Directors at meetings scheduled every six weeks.

Visions North CFDC can provide assistance of up to $150,000.00 from all loan funds. Each of these funds can provide term loans over a maximum; period of 5 years for the start up of a new business or the expansion of an existing business. If you financing needs are greater, Visions North CFDC may still be able to assist your project through our syndicated loan network.
