Three new Junior Achievement businesses launch in Weyburn in April 2017.  Community Futures (CF) Sunrise, the Southeast College and the Weyburn Chamber of Commerce are please to lend their support through mentorship of these youth entrepreneurs.  The Junior Achievement program is being offered in the Entrepreneurship 30 class at Weyburn Comp School, with teacher Margot Arnold.

"These students are very fortunate to participate in this one-of-a-kind class.  Not only do the young entrepreneurs have the chance to experience what it's like to manage a small business, but they are provided with many resources through the Junior Achievement program, and with the support of the business community.  At the end of the semester, the students decide how the revenue from their ventures is divided, and they have a chance to give back to the community that supported them on their entrepreneurial journey," comments Verna O'Neill, General Manager of CF Sunrise.

The three companies that launched this spring are:  Home Grown (unique, self-sustaining terariums), Ace High (customized, branded decks of cards) and Sweet Dreams (hand-crafted dreamcatchers).
