Join Community Futures (CF) Sunrise and the Weyburn Chamber of Commerce on September 30, 2014 and learn about Saskatchewan Employment Standards.

Wages are often the biggest expense for a small business.  Find out your rights and responsibilities under Part II of The Saskatchewan Employment Act.  At this afternoon workshop, you will found out more about:

  • the minimum wage and minimum call-out pay,
  • the minimum age of employment,
  • schedules and hours of work,
  • overtime, overtime banks, modified work arrangements and exemptions,
  • public holidays and public holiday pay,
  • vacations and vacation pay,
  • employment leave, and
  • layoff and termination.

Glen Brooman is the session facilitator.  With 29 years of experience in the field and in his current position of Education Consultant with the Ministry of Labour Relations and Workplace Safety, Glen has a wealth of knowledge to share with session participants.  He will provide you with concrete answers to your workplace-specific quesitons.

The session begins at 1pm on September 30, 2014 and will be held at the Canalta Hotel in Weyburn.  Registration is required:  1.306.842.8803 or sunrise.cfdc@sasktel.net.
