With the ink from our New Year’s resolutions still wet, thoughts turn toward change, growth and improving our work-life balance.  Two new business workshops address those topics:  Time Management and Minimizing Workplace Conflict.  Both lunch-time sessions are slated to take place at the end of January in Carnduff, Saskatchewan.  They are presented courtesy of Community Futures (CF) Sunrise and the Economic Development Office for the Town of Carnduff and RM of Mount Pleasant.

“It’s very timely to offer these two sessions in January.  Many of us have made promises to improve ourselves and our workplace environment.  These short lunch-time sessions will provide a few key tips and tools to address time management and conflict issues,” says Tara Beck, Economic Development Officer for the Town of Carnduff and RM of Mount Pleasant.

Bring your brown-bag lunch along on January 24, 2013 and find out how to manage time more effectively.  “We’ll discuss how to identify and curb time-wasters, improve personal productivity and look at some time tools that can make a big difference to your workday,” says Verna O’Neill of CF Sunrise.

Workplace Conflict is the topic for the brown-bag session on January 31, 2013.  “We spend a large part of our day with co-workers.  Conflict is normal and healthy, but can be minimized if we follow a few simple rules.  We’ll take a look at those guidelines and have a frank discussion about how to manage the inevitable conflict that happens at work,” comments O’Neill.

There is no fee to attend the sessions, but pre-registration is required.  Those interested in more information or who want to register can contact Tara Beck at 1.306.482.3503.
