Pennie Kimery has worked in the Credit Union system in southeastern Saskatchewan for 28 years. She says “I love my community and province. My passion is working with Entrepreneurs to promote their business and products. To me there is nothing better than seeing others succeed in their passion and goals.”
Pennie was one of the founders of the Kipling Entrepreneur Group which hosted many community events including Kipling Big Idea. This event was like Dragon’s Den/Shark Tank (which you may have seen on TV). Many entrepreneurs pitched their startup ideas which in turn led to many new businesses opening their doors and provided many others the opportunity to showcase their products.
I’m excited to join the Community Futures Sunrise board as it offers opportunities to help rural based entrepreneurs on their journey to bring their dreams to fruition. By being part of the organization, I am able to bring my experience and community engagement to southern Saskatchewan.
Thank you Pennie for your passion for business and community development, and welcome to Community Futures Sunrise!
