Community Futures (CF) Sunrise is a regional business and economic development organization located in southeast Saskatchewan.  By providing business loans and advice to entrepreneurs, and support to communities, CF Sunrise strives to be innovative and strategic in assisting with development in the region.

CF Sunrise is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed General Manager to lead and manage the corporation.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the General Manager is responsible for the overall management, planning, and operation of the corporation in accordance with the corporate policies, strategic vision, and objectives of the Board.

The General Manager’s responsibilities include:

  • Financial management of the corporation’s loan funds and operational resources.
  • Effective leadership and management of a team of dedicated professionals.
  • Ensuring compliance with all funding contracts, corporate policies and regulations.
  • Supervising and assisting in client services including lending and business advisory functions.
  • Ensuring effective communication with the Board, partners, communities, government funders and other stakeholders. This includes oversight of all marketing initiatives of the corporation.
  • Initiation, implementation and outcome reporting on business and economic development projects in the region.
  • Attainment of the yearly performance goals set by the corporation.
  • Travel in the region and some work after regular business hours will be required.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of senior management experience
  • 3-5 years of commercial lending experience
  • Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Business Administration (accounting or finance specialization) or equivalent relevant education and experience
  • Experience working in business and economic development
  • Superior public speaking ability and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a team environment and nurture strategic partnerships
  • Strong computer skills: MS Office programs, QuickBooks, social media
  • Valid driver’s license
