CF Sunrise Staff
Meet the CF Sunrise staff, dedicated to assisting you start or expand your small business in southeast Saskatchewan:
Andria Brady, General Manager
Email: gm@cfsunrise.ca
Phone: 306.842.1768
Andria has been involved as a volunteer with CF Sunrise since 2004 and has always had a keen interest in making southeast SK a great place to do business.
After years on both the local and provincial boards, she joined the organization as the Regional Economic Development Coordinator in 2020 and in 2021 was instrumental in the development and implementation of the award-winning Go Digital Sask program. In May 2022 Andria moved into the General Manager position.
She has a wealth of experience to draw from in the financial service and non profit sectors. Being a small business owner herself, she understands the challenges that entrepreneurs can face, along with the benefits a vibrant business community can bring to the region.
Andria is committed to promoting entrepreneurship and assisting with growth and development of the communities, businesses and organizations in the region. She has always been a proponent of using technology to advance business engagement, which in a post pandemic world has become even more necessary for businesses to thrive.
Andria grew up near Weyburn and has entrepreneurship in her blood. “My parents were business owners for the majority of their working lives, and family members continue to operate businesses so I feel like this is a natural fit. I have always considered CF Sunrise to be an integral part of business success in rural Saskatchewan.”
Leanne Porter, Business Development Officer
Email: loans@cfsunrise.ca
Phone: 306.897.8855
Leanne joins Community Futures Sunrise as a Business Development Officer, with 25 years of lending experience in the financial industry, all spent in the southeast rural community of Wawota. She grew up on a farm and now she and her husband own and operate a mixed farm. This is where they raised their three sons, and operated an oilfield business for 8 years.
Leanne’s passion for farming and small business has meshed well with her lending career in providing financial and business advice. Her work experience, as well as personal experience in farming and business, has developed a level of understanding of what rural businesses mean to individuals, families and communities.
“I have served on a number of boards and volunteer groups and believe strongly in giving back. Community Futures is in the business of encouraging and supporting our communities, our volunteers and our small businesses—and that resonates with me.
I am committed to supporting rural Saskatchewan and am excited to be part of Community Futures Sunrise. I have always admired the drive and creativity of small business owners and look forward to being able to provide advice, assistance and support to these businesses going forward.”
Marion Scott, Bookkeeper
Email: officeadmin@cfsunrise.ca
Marion joined CF Sunrise in August 2011. Her past experience in office administration, customer service and bookkeeping serves the organization well as she is primarily involved with the record-keeping for CF Sunrise. “Our family has a long history in farming and business ownership, so that background has benefited me.”
Marion lives in Halbrite with her husband Dale. Their two sons farm and ranch in the Radville area. One farm has been in the family for 107 years and the other farm 50 years. Their daughter has a Business Administration and Local Government Administration Diploma and is employed as an RM Administrator.
Marion enjoys being part of CF Sunrise’s support of entrepreneurs and small business in southeast Saskatchewan.

Christina Birch joined CF Sunrise in July 2019 as our Regional Economic Development Coordinator. With a background in community economic development, Christina is committed to assisting businesses and communities in southeast Saskatchewan as they continue to develop. “Working in community economic development is my passion. I enjoy meeting and working with business owners and community leaders who are committed to working towards a better future.” Christina works hard to connect with stakeholders in the region, assessing what is needed to support them during the transition to a low-carbon economy.
Christina and her family have lived in southeast Saskatchewan since 2009. “Rural Saskatchewan is a great place to raise a family and grow a business. With so many diverse opportunities for growth, I’m happy to be part of a team that contributes to our region’s continued development.”
