Community Futures Southwest partnered with the Women Entrepreneurs of Saskatchewan Inc. to bring an event to the Southwest. "Sweet Success" was the name of the event and it was centered around small business week. The event was held at the Living Sky Casino in Swift Current on October 29, 2013. There were 4 main speakers for the event and they gave brief talks on the successes and challenges of owning your own business. The speakers were local women who are strong, successful business women. They work in the fields of law, dental, accounting and retail.
The event brought in 50 registered guests from the Swift Current and surrounding areas. Guests from all fields such as law, banking, accounting, retail and home based business owners were in attendance. Because of our sponsors for the event, it was a complimentary event for the guests.
The dessert reception and coffee was a sweet addition to the event. Guests were able to network with other people who have faced the same challenges everyday. All with being able to nibble on goodies.
