Community Futures Southwest

Maple Creek was won of the 2012-13 Community Beautification Winners and their project consisted of the Communities In Bloom Program. Maple Creek has worked hard to acomplish big in this program. With all the work they have done on the Heritage Downtown Street, it has paid off. We have posted pictures of the garbage cans, the new signs and banners, the flower beds by the post office...so much hard work and the end result is remarkable! This year they continued that work with building a community area beside the post office and accross from the community garden (which was another completed project they did). They have built a pergola and added picnic benches to the area. When talking to one of the people on the committee, she said "people are using the area already'! That's wonderful. They have big plans to finish the area with some screens as it is quite windy and there is some plans to do cement and fix the sidewalks in the future! Every project they finish enhances the Town so much more! Just a great example of a community coming together to make life in the Town better for everyone! We are very proud of the work they have done!!!
