Community Futures Southwest travelled to Pine Cree Regional Park, today to present them with a cheque for $800.00. The moneys came from last year's Community Beautification Program which we award to communities to use funds to enhance their towns, villages or rm's. Pine Cree used the money to buy some more new playground equipment. A slide was added this year, as well as a jungle gym dome. New sand was laid down to maximize the landscape for the area. The moneys will help to buy a spring ride on and a digger ride on for the kids as well. The project will get underway in the next few months and be completed this year in time for summer campers and children to enjoy! The park was a new find to us at Community Futures Southwest, and it is absolutely beautiful!!! It is so quiet and with the only sounds being the spring running through the campsite. Mini waterfalls, trees as tall as buildings, and serene views...who could ask for more to camp with!!! We love the project, and can't wait to help install the equipment, we will be going back out during and after it is complete, so stay tuned for more pics!!!
