Community Futures works in partnership with communities throughout the province to promote and expand community economic development. We assist communities in organizing and planning for a self-directed future.

Community Futures can:

• assist communities to define their vision, goals and objectives for development
• increase the information resources available in their region to enable sound community, business and government decisions
• broaden the base of community involvement in economic development
• increase the knowledge and skill levels in the region for community and business development
• research and identify economic development and growth areas, opportunities and projects with an emphasis on agri-food business, manufacturing and processing
• assist communities in evaluating and implementing projects
• identify government assistance programs
• identify sources of capital
• develop partnerships and strategic alliances to foster and integrated approach to the development of the region
• increase the economic development activity and resources available in the region
