Just Watch Me! Just Watch Me!

Mistatim, Saskatchewan entrepreneurs Darold and Corinne Biette have won fourth place in the Just Watch Me! Video Contest for entrepreneurs with disabilities or health conditions.

Mistatim's Darold and Corinne Biette submitted a video about their business, Pheasant Point Adventures. Their video was chosen by a panel of judges to move forward into the "Top 4" entrepreneurs in the Seasoned Entrepreneur category, competing against three other entrepreneurs from Manitoba and Saskatchewan. The Mistatim community and voters from around the world supported Darold and Corinne. They will receive a cash prize of $250 plus many other prizes to help them grow Pheasant Point Adventures.

"Contestants each submitted a short video talking about their business success that our panel of judges including celebrity judge, Codie Prevost narrowed down to four finalists for voting." explains Susan Bater, Entrepreneurs With Disabilities Program Coordinator for Community Futures in rural Manitoba and spokesperson for the contest. "The response from the community has been overwhelming and has shone a lot of attention on the entrepreneurs and their business success."

Self employment can be a great fit for people with disabilities or ongoing health conditions. Owning a small business means you can set your own hours, create a personalized work environment, and most importantly, gain a sense of control over your destiny. The Community Futures Just Watch Me! Video Contest celebrates the business success of entrepreneurs with disabilities or health conditions in rural communities. Thanks to the support of the local business community the contest winners will receive prizes that will help grow their company.

This year's contest has been a huge success, with 8 contestants entering videos from rural communities across Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Over the 2 week public voting period for our "Top 4" contestants in the Seasoned category, there were over 29,000 votes cast.
