Can you walk, tweet and chew gum?

Growing up you felt coordinated if you could walk and chew gum. If you were feeling brave, you might attempt to ride your bike and chew gum, but that was the height of your multitasking.

Fast forward thirty years. People are now walking and riding while chewing gum, drinking coffee, sending emails, texting, adding friends, tweeting, talking, messaging, taking pictures, videos, blogging, reading and much much more.

What does this mean? It means that people can be reached 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you’re a small business owner and you want to navigate people to your website, service or product - social media is key.

Facebook campaigns, Instragram, Twitter, a Blog, a Website that all work together can be extremely cost effective and very efficient.

If you are starting out and don’t feel comfortable with social media platforms, invest in yourself, take a course or hire an expert. The more you can learn the better, because technology moves fast and before you know it another new platform will be created and the others will be obsolete.
