Beaver River CFDC Reaches $52 Million in Lending

Press Release - More than 40 northern communities benefit.

Meadow Lake, SK - June 2016:
More than 40 communities in northern Saskatchewan have now benefitted from more than $52 million in lending from the Beaver River Community Futures Development Corporation, as announced today by General Manager Patty Shaw.

“Over its 27 years, the availability of the Beaver River Community Futures Business Loan Fund in the region has significantly impacted northern communities, Shaw said, “Our mission is to support various economic ventures and provide much-needed loans that otherwise may not have been secured through other traditional financial institutions. We’re very proud to have reached this major financial milestone.”

It isn’t just the businesses who receive the loans that benefit, as recognized by those in the business community.

Beaver River Community Futures Development Corporation, as a member of the National Aboriginal Capital Corporation Association, is also the first Community Future in the association to access the Aboriginal Developmental Lending Assistance program, an impressive milestone as recognized by its board.
