General Manager Position - CF Northwest

Northwest Community Futures is a community economic development organization that provides a broad range of services to entrepreneurs for business startup and expansion including loans, counseling, training, information and pathfinding. The corporation also owns and operates The Executive, a business facility that provides meet rooms, day offices and long-term lease units. The office is located in North Battleford, SK and serves a region of 72 communities with a population of 76,000.


Reporting to the Board of Directors, the General Manager is responsible for corporate, financial, operational, and facility performance and goal achievement. The General Manager is hands-on with:

  • Board of Director and governance matters
  • Banking, Accounting, Budgets, Audit, Financial Statements
  • Contract negotiations, Marketing, Media relations, Relationship building
  • HR management, Performance reporting
  • Regulation, Contract and policy compliance
  • Business Plan development and evaluation
  • Client services including lending, counselling and self employment training
  • Privacy, Confidentiality, Professionalism, Corporate integrity
  • Fostering a team environment and a high standard of client service


  • Post Secondary education in a related field: Commerce, Management, Business Administration or equivalent
  • Minimum 5-years experience in Business Mgmt and Small Business Lending
  • Reliable, dependable, trustworthy, professional appearance and conduct
  • Independent and collaborative decision-making
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Well-developed communication skills: written, verbal, personal presentation
  • Above average computer skills: Win10, Office 365, Sage 50 Premium 2015, Keyboarding, Internet and Research proficiency
  • Oath of Confidentiality, Criminal record check, Bondable
  • Valid Saskatchewan driver’s license and reliable vehicle

Wage range: $69K to $101K, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
