Chief Executive Officer - Newsask Community Futures Development Corporation

The Board of Directors of Newsask Community Futures Development Corporation is currently seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This position is located in Tisdale, SK, which is a community of over 3000, located in beautiful northeast Saskatchewan.

Newsask Community Futures is one of 13 independent Community Development Corporations in the province of Saskatchewan, governed by a committed board of volunteers. The mission of the corporation is to achieve entrepreneurship in business and communities in the northeast region of the province. To achieve this mission, the corporation provides specialized services to entrepreneurs through business counselling, loan programs, business information, and provides leadership in community economic development. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the CEO is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the corporation, including the annual operating budget, human resources management, maintaining the assets of the corporation, and reporting to the Board and various government agencies. He/she is instrumental in leading the corporation and its team of staff members to achieve the goals and objectives of the corporation.

As a team player, it is the goal of the CEO to lead the corporation in providing the highest level of service to our clients, building the reputation of the Newsask CFDC as the preferred business advisors in the region. The CEO is also actively engaged with our economic development partners and stakeholders, playing a key role in supporting community business development.

The successful candidate will possess a degree in Business or a related field, have a minimum of 5 years of experience that includes experience in a senior management role, in credit management and/or the banking/financial sector, and in community economic development. The candidate will also demonstrate a firm understanding of working with community partners, financial management and analysis, policy development, and human resource management. The CEO will be a proven leader with excellent relationship building skills.
